How Cartier Tank is One of The Leading Excellent Watch Collection

Cartier is a leading one in the global luxury watch industry and is a well-known King of Jewelers. Louis-François Cartier created Cartier tank in Paris in 1847. The firm began manufacturing wristwatches in the 1910s, making it one of the most prominent jewelry houses in the world. The classic Tank watch was produced in 1917 by the Maison and was inspired by the form of World Wide War I military tanks. Cartier Tank is an iconic watchmaking creation from the world-renowned French luxury manufacturer that proudly represents a fusion of modernist design and classicism. If you are interested to get the best and long-term running watch then Cartier Tank is the best choice.

Cartier’s Most Famous Lineup

Among the flagship watch collections, Tank is one of Cartier’s best-selling series. The striking shape of this watch was inspired by the battle tanks of  World War I. Designed by Louis-François Cartier, the brand’s charismatic founder, the Tank features two parallel brancards (case sides), a cabochon-set crown and a dial with a Chemin de Fer chapter ring, large Roman numeral hour markers and sword-shaped hands burnished steel. Considering that Cartier Tank is the most renowned collection, it is inescapable that this French brand will steadily introduce legacy models. Varients in this series like Cintrée, Solo, Asymétrique, Américaine, Louis Cartier, MC lastly, Française attract every watch collector.

New Model – CRWSTA0041

The Cartier Tank Must watch (CRWSTA0041) has been launched worldwide in June 2022. Let’s take a closer look at the design of the new release. In fact, there are more differences than similarities. Of course, Must de Cartier saw several variations of the dial during its journey, but in this case, I will focus on the first model from 1977. The case is similar to the Vintage Must. The two vertical sidebars with significantly more rounded edges remain true to the original. Same case is applied to case dial.

The minute hand, Roman numerals and of course Cartier’s signature spade hands embellish the latest concept. The quartz movement is also something both models have in common. However, it shows more notable changes than similarities. First, the gold-plated case was replaced in favor of the stainless-steel case measuring 33.7 × 25.5 × 6.60 mm. Then the ivory dial and Must de Cartier emblem fade into oblivion. As a result, I feel like it’s more of a new twist on a Tank Solo than an homage to Must de Cartier. But perhaps merging both legacy models into a new package is a conscious move.

Summary

Cartier Tank is one of the most admired watch collections ever created. Enjoy a rich heritage of more than 100 years. Since its introduction in 1919, this remarkable and coveted family of wristwatches has continually expanded with new developments and versions. In summary, let’s examine some established characteristics of the Tank Cartier watch.

Although the collection offers different case shapes, it still retains the essence of the historical watch. All new generation tank watches share most of the signature features, for example, two parallel brancards, cabochon crown, Roman numerals, and so forth. These watches are available with metal bracelets or alligator leather straps. The water resistance of the Tank de Cartier series is 30 meters.
